1. Maternity and paternity benefit

In the case of the paternity benefit, a minimum of 180 days quoted will be required.

2. Financial benefit for the birth or adoption of a child

In the case that you are a large family, single parent or the mother has a recognized disability equal to or greater than 65%, you can also opt for special help.

This benefit translates into a single payment of 1000 euros, as long as the economic and family requirements are met. This help also depends on social security.

3. Support for childbirth or multiple adoption

In the event that you give birth or adopt more than one baby, you are entitled to special help that is intended to cover the exceptional expenses arising from the new situation. This help goes from 3600 euros to 10800 depending on the number of children.

4. Co-responsible exercise of infant care

With the entry into force of Royal Decree-Law 6/2019, of March 1, on urgent measures to guarantee equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in employment and occupation, some assistance has been modified. existing.

Through this royal decree, this help is translated, which translates into reduction of the working day in half an hour for the care of the infant from the age of nine months to twelve months of age. This reduction in working hours – in half an hour or accumulated – is considered as an individual right of working people without their exercise being transferred to the other parent, that is, only one can benefit.

5. Financial benefit for children or minors in charge of permanent or foster family foster care for adoption purposes

This financial benefit consists of an aid that is recognized by each child under 18 years of age (or over that age affected by a disability equal to or greater than 65%), who is in your care, as well as those under your position in foster care, permanent or foster care for adoption purposes.

Like maternity benefit, it is exempt from personal income tax.
