Clermont-Auvergne University (UCA) is a French public university whose head office is located in the city of Clermont-Ferrand in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. She trains and delivers Licenses, Masters and PhDs in several fields. As a public university, schooling is free. Clermont-Auvergne University also prepares for various competitions.

Training is organized into training and research units (UFR) as well as schools and institutes.
The university is divided into five major divisions:
> economics, law and management (law, economics and management);
> life sciences, health, agronomy and environment;
> letters, human and social sciences (letters, languages, human and social sciences);
> sciences for the engineer (technology and engineering sciences);
> basic sciences.
They aim to coordinate and pool the resources available to each component integrated into a collegium.


The university is funded by the state, local authorities as well as private partners and donors. The budget of the university is about 300 million euros.
